This is a string Ghungroo pair with each ankle bell having about 50 brass bells. This item has high quality big brass bells on the string. Very good sound!!! There are strings on each end of the Ankle Bell with which the performer need to tie the ankle bell to their ankles – not buckle type. Ankle bells are known in different names in different parts of India. In Tamilnadu, it is known as Salangai and in Kerala people call it Chilanka. In north India it is commonly calles as Ghungroo.
